This is a welcome addition. I assume this will become the new benchmark for small carry lights.
Two other things I want to see from Streamlight. A TLR-9 version with the new high candela head...
I like Bob Barr well enough. Stand up Congressman back in the 1980s.
Apparently, it was a Trifecta with the removal of Wayne's 2 henchmen. The NRA needs an internal audit and house cleaning....
I'd totally try a small handful of the Yam base plates if they were $15 or so.
Anyway, Chip McCormick used to sell a lopro base plate for the Power Mag. I don't see them on the Chip website and...

No Tripps? Or are those in the bad box?

Yep. Mags are the same other than the base plates.
There's also a +P version that uses a flat wire spring.
...
Out of curiosity, I just tried a Tripp 14 coil .042 diameter spring in a Wilson 47D. The spring seems to fit just fine and the mag still holds eight rounds. But the 8th round is pretty tight and such...
This might help show the differences.
This is the new Wilson compared to the 47D. Note that overall length is essentially the same when both mags are outfitted with the standard plastic base...
These are sort of a hybrid "reverse mullet" base plate. Party up front to work with mag well guns and business in the back to be easier to conceal and for guns with no mag well.
I haven't used...
I think he talks about it in the video I linked above but Bill Wilson basically says he expected the ETM to kill off the 47D. That hasn't been the case and both mags continue to be a good seller.
...
Unless you specifically want the shortest length, there's probably not much reason to use the original length tubes in today's market. For competition or open carry I'd be using the ETMs or Tripps...
And then the upward curve of the RPM and + compared to the legacy Chip:

And skirts of the RMP and PM +
The RMP is longer which makes sense since it is used in the newer style longer tube.

The various followers:
Legacy Chip--one skirt down the back. A small nub on the underside that interacts with the top coil of the spring to help retain the follower. Both portions of the follower...
I talked to Brandon from Chip Mccormick recently about mags. The topic of frame feed ramp damage in aluminum guns came up. Brandon told me the damage occurs when the user depresses the slide catch...
Isn't spring fatigue pretty much *the* problem with the legacy eight round mags? Springs in these mags are fully, or nearly fully, compressed when the mag is loaded to eight.
The Mccormick legacy...
Ah, well. It probably comes out about the same if you buy $150 worth and get free shipping?
