M&P 2.0 does orientation matter when installing striker spring guide?

I recently came across a great deal on a stripped MNP 2.0 slide. Ive acquired all of the components needed to finish the slide, but I have a question about the striker spring guide.

Does the orientation of the striker spring guide matter? I believe in the M&P 1.0 striker guide had a definite orientation when installing it (fingers forward?).

However, the 2.0 guide looks symmetric, so I am wondering does it matter which end is directed towards the front of the slide when installing it?
