PrairieFire Rank and Competitions

Well, y'all probably know that Front Sight is kaput. It's being acquired by PrairieFire, a venture of Bill Wilson (a different Bill Wilson). The transition is covered down on pretty well here by PewPewTactical.

Per the PrairieFire website, they have a self-vetted online "competition" they call "Rank" which involves a home-printed bullseye target and submission to them online. That seems to be, obviously, a pretty minor thing worth fairly little, but they're boasting a competition coming up in October in Florence, TX, with a purse of $100k. That's pretty serious money. Who knows, maybe they could pull in the people that USPSA are currently alienating (and/or booting).

Anyone know anything more about this?

I don't see any specifics about rules and courses of fire.
The pictures emphasize the HSLD militiamen, not We Retirees.

I just found out about this, and was interested in (if nothing else) the target. The whole RANK think seems to not exist any more.

I qualified for the big shindig last year but didn't go. I really have heard nothing about it since then. Maybe it folded already?

I looked off their Facebook and they have grand opening later this month but their marketing is really schizophrenic.

Are they a fitness retreat? A shooting place? A spa? Boot camp?

Their employees don’t look very fit for a place touting ultimate fitness.

They might be, but I don’t get whom they are marketing to?
