Yes, and I’d prefer the PC Magnas.
only if you take it to the limit, one more time
Don't know what that pronghorn is so happy about. That bullet is going to knock him on his asterics. (smile)

Sneaking up on a pronghorn, at least into handgun range is a challenge.
They are some wary critters.
Low crawling up on them and counting coup with my camera and an iron sighted .44 is something I may have done once or twice in the past...

I think the challenge of the stalk is the most fun.
Pretty good trick sneaking up on those speedgoats! 03RN pure vanity shot with that Mountain Gun. Put that one on a wall.
One word of advice for anyone wanting to try sneaking up on speedgoats, deer, or anything else in the wild, wild west.
Wear gloves.
Most the time it has been a spur of the moment "Hey let's go play cowboys and critters", but it only takes one or two times picking stuff out of your hands before you remember to wear gloves.
Speed goat usually isn't nearly as tasty as other game. It can be okay, if to take care of the meat quickly after the kill. Elk is much better eating. Sadly, I didn't draw the cow elk tag I had hoped for, but I do have a speed goat doe tag to fill this fall... not far from Lost River's stomping grounds. My plan is to make the whole thing into salami.
I do think a big bore is a bit overkill on a Pronghorn... If I try with a handgun this fall, it'll probably be my .357 Flattop Blackhawk.
Stalking with just a camera in hand is good practice for the real deal.
I cannot recall if I have posted this pic or not.
A few of my favorite things.. :)

Yep,
It is the handiest size I have found. Works on decent size trees/deadfall, but small enough that I can lash it to my pack or even slide it in my pack, depending on what else I am carrying. Superb steel too. It sharpens up to the point that you can literally scrape the hair off your arms with it. I picked up a Husqvarna hatchet a while back but I have not had the opportunity to use it in the same manner as I have used the Carpenter's Axe.

I have the hatchet, but it's handle is too short for me to use comfortably.
Yep, I think it is purely going to be used for kindling, and backpacking type duties, as well as hikes where weight is a factor.
The Husqvarna axes and hatchets are absolutely in my eye, one of the best deals going. You get top notch quality and don't pay Gränsfors Bruk prices.
I have a Husky hatchet too and have found it a great value
I found this video, or rather it found me. I was searching for hatchets a couple of days ago and it showed up on YT for me. It must be magic!

After that I moved back to 50 yards and kept 80% or better, I didn't really count, on a propane tank.
Pinned front please.
