I bought a M64 police trade-in a few years ago. A new cylinder was installed, barrel gap was a bit too large for me. S&W told me to send it in, and they tuned it up for free.

Looks like it was made in 1981 .
My original issued Service gun back in the Fall of 1982 was a 4” 64-3. Along with 12 rounds in dump pouches, we were GTG.
One of the finest fighting handguns ever made.
Guess I’ve started down the K-Frame collection road. I’m now on the lookout for 2” and 3” Mdl 10s and Mdl 64s. Also a 6” Mdl 64 if they made such a beast. My dad has a cherry Mdl 10-5 6” that I will end up with one of these days.
They are addictive my friend!
I think @Stephanie B was "patient zero" but as evidenced by the "Enabler's Thread" it's spread wildly and we are all better for it. ;)
And Yes...you need all of those you listed and more LOL
Then I’m covered, since I own both! 😆
Up on GB right now, looking at .38s in the state of Tennessee and I’m realizing just how good a deal I got on this revolver. My winning bid was $426! Final cost to me, when it comes out of layaway is $475.41.
Fun Fact, I got this pistol for the exact same bid as I did this S&W Mdl 10, less than a year ago! 😁
