When is the 30 super carry poll?
As soon as I tab over. Let's see how many of these we can cover before the Europellet.
It's actually been mildly interesting to see the relative variety in the less common calibers showing more contextual load selection than one might expect.
Edit: Be careful what you wish for.
180 grain HST as a first choice.
I only have one .40 these days (Smith 2.0), and I swear it was made for 180's.
Even the cheap Remington shoots well.
180 grain Gold Dot
It's a Carry Ammo Carry Choice race but this is probably the best place to see poll results.
180 HST is primary.
180 Gold Dot or more likely typical 180 grain FMJ-FP for reload/Car mag.
40 is kinda more awesome then people credit. Even short barrels perform great it has enough energy.
Even cheap WWB cup n core is pretty decent, it had enough ass
180 HST
180 Ranger
JW
165gr HST
Gold Dots would be my second.
I’m using 180-grain HST in my M&P40 1.0. It’s my nightstand gun and the only one on which I have a light. I have another M&P40 which I carry occasionally.
ETA: We geezers tend to think of it as .40 Snap & Whip. :) In the M&Ps it’s not really that bad.
